    Where did you get the name Kyan from? That is my mother’s maiden name.

    Hi Robin,

    Thanks for replying to my enquiry. John Howard Kyan of the Kyanising invention is one of my ancestors. He was my mother’s uncle. They were originally from Ireland and it is believed that the surname was originally O’Cahan.
