This odd choice of typeface drew my attention when walking over the Hungerford Brige recently. I wonder what the designer was thinking when they opted for this somewhat incongrous font style?
It seems to me that the lettershapes would be more suited to the brass nameplate on a Louisiana paddlesteamer crossing the mighty Mississippi rather than this mundane, casually fascist public information notice on a footbridge over a metal grey Old Father Thames.
Has anyone else spotted any cruel or misguided use of innocent typefaces? If so let us know, we’re keen to offer help and guidance to prevent these transgressions against taste and decency. Your vigilance is appreciated.

That font reminds me of Hitler and the ‘cruel’. Maybe this particular font was used to avoid one more sentence “Trespassers will be prosecuted”! For people like me, the font speaks through! :D
Come across such mutilation of fonts and words everyday; never captured them on film, though. Apparenly, only designers (and people working in design studios care!)
