"DO NOT EAT" THROW AWAY

Posted by Steven Wake on October 31, 2008

I have the driest draw here at Kyan towers. You see, I am the proud owner of a Silica Gel collection. There is just something about them which compels me to not throw away the little fellas.

I’ve been collecting now for about 3 years and have gels of all shapes and sizes. I receive contributions from nearly everyone in the office.

Here are a few photo highlights from my lovely collection:

While a boring packet, this gel had an interesting twist – the beads inside went from orange to green when it became spent

Some pink beads, clear packet, big blue Japanese characters – ‘nuff said!

What an amazing mouth this guy has! Wish I had one like his. My fav gel

Big Bertha is the biggest, heaviest gel I own. She was given to me as a birthday present from Gareth (many thanks G)

My longest gel ;) More Japanese characters – lovely specimen

I wonder how they taste?

Does anyone else collect weird things?

I ate one of those beads once and I was violently ill for the entire day..I was just curious.Telling me not to eat them made me want to do it more.

How do they work? They must work great if everyone uses them (Business selling products). Also, how long to they last for usually?

Oh and another question (So many questions) – Do you use them for home use? Maybe I should dry out my draws…hmmm

    Cheers,

    Claire

But why do they write THROW AWAY? It can be useful… people shouldn’t throw them away!
