How to price your web application

Posted by Paul Sturgess on September 12, 2007

A great article on Vitamin gives some sound advice for any budding web entrepreneurs out there.

Keeping things simple is typically a successful ethos/approach for the entire process of building web applications. This article talks specifically about keeping your billing plans simple and it makes so much sense.

”...it’s good to keep the number of plans down to about 3 or 4. With more than that it becomes more complicated than it needs to be…”

“Doubling the price with each plan feels neat. That said, it’s important that the value provided increases proportionally to the price, or better. Take Basecamp: $12 for 3 projects, $24 for 15. Feels like a good deal.”

I’d strongly suggest a read, it’s just full of good advice.
